Bookings and Course fees
Full payment is required in advance for bookings on any of our tastings or courses, with the exception of WSET Level 3 as detailed below. For all other courses, places will not be confirmed until the full course fee has been received.
For WSET Level 3 Award in Wines we are able to offer the option to pay in installments. To confirm a place, at least one third of the full fee must be paid. The final installment must be paid at least 4 weeks before the exam.
Website bookings will receive an automatic booking confirmation. For payments made in the bar or over the phone, you will receive an email confirmation. If you have not heard from us within 7 days of of your booking please contact us.
Refunds & Cancellations
Informal tastings and short courses
You may request a refund or transfer your booking to another date up to 14 working days prior to the date of the course or tasting. We need all cancellation requests to be made in writing by email. We regret that no refunds or transfers will be given within 14 working days prior to the date of the course or tasting.
If transferring to an alternative date, you will need to confirm a new date for the course or tasting within 14 days of the request for a transfer of your booking.
Your fee will be refunded in full if The Wine Parlour changes a course or tasting date or cancels the date. We will notify you of a tasting or course cancellation at least 2 days prior to the date of the course/tasting.
You may cancel or transfer your place up to 21 working days prior to the start of the course. For cancellations, an administration fee of £25.00 will be deducted and the remainder of the course fee refunded. We need all cancellation requests to be made in writing by email. Unfortunately no refunds will be given within the 21 working day prior to the start of the course or at any time after the start of the course.
If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, we are afraid that no refund can be given for the missed class. We will do our best to ensure that you receive all the notes from the missed session.
If you are unable to attend the date of the exam you may request to transfer onto an alternative date by emailing us at least 21 working days before the exam date. There will be an administration fee of £25. If you need to change the date within 14 days of the exam, we are afraid that there will be an administration fee and also you will need to pay the cost of the exam paper as this will have already been paid to the WSET. Transferring onto another date for the exam will be subject to place availability.
Your course fee will be refunded in full if The Wine Parlour changes a course date or cancels a course if bookings do not reach the required minimum numbers. We will notify you of a course cancellation at least 10 days prior to the start of the course.
WSET Entry Requirements
No prior knowledge or qualifications are needed unless indicated. Students must be 21 years or over to attend a WSET course at The Wine Parlour.
WSET Study Packs
Study packs will be available to collect 14 days before the start of the course.

Data protection for WSET courses
Your details will be passed on to the WSET for registration. The WSET is registered under the Data Protection Act as an Education and Academic Institution in the UK and will use any data within the guidelines of the Act. Essentially this means that students may be contacted by WSET
in relation to their WSET qualifications (courses and examinations) and other WSET opportunities. It may also be used for essential communication with their regulators (who are also required to operate within the Data Protection Act). No student contact details will be passed on to any third parties.
